Welcome! This website remains active to honor the late Dr. Timothy Garth, his academic and artistic achievements, and to honor his professional passions. He was an artist, educator, scholar, and arts advocate as well as a general awesome human-being, wonderful friend, and a loving/devoted husband and father. Professionally, he was committed to engaging contemporary topics with other artist educators, his research explored the intersections of ideologies, experiences, and professional contexts in arts education. This research agenda included multiple factors that inform the decision-making processes of PK-20 art teachers in practical situations, such as policy expectations, teacher interpretations, and pedagogical choices. Additionally, his interests and expertise within arts education included policy development and implications, standards and assessment, and curriculum design. Most recently, he enjoyed living and working in the growing arts community of Kearney, Nebraska.

Please enjoy the site by using the navigation links above. It has been left mostly untouched to preserve his voice and art.
