CREATE

‘Making’ is an important component of being an artist.  As an artist educator, I have the responsibility to create opportunities for researching, making, discussion, reflection, and advocacy through my craft.  In the studio, ideas produce similar opportunities but converse with broader audiences about the human experience.  I believe providing students with an encouraging, yet challenging, opportunity to engage the concept of ‘creating’ is central to the field of arts education.
